Nashville Stars of the Future To Perform Live at New Country-Music Themed Restaurant

June 7, 2006

The people have spoken. In the wake of American Idol’s smash success, CountryMonkey.com, has taken its act live. Starting June 7th, the new Nashville-based theme restaurant will conduct a year-long talent search for the next big country music artist. Auditions will be held online, with competitors to perform live for the very fans who selected them. In a family-friendly environment with a five-star chef, Country Monkey promises both fine food and the best up-and-coming talent that Nashville has to offer.

Says CountryMonkey CEO Paul Ekster, “For the past year, CountryMonkey has introduced new country music stars to Nashville. Now, with our state-of-the-art sound system and live weekly performances, local fans can finally see their favorite bands perform live, before choosing one to win a recording contract with a major Nashville producer.” The restaurant, a 15,000 square foot location situated directly across the street from Titans Stadium, is not merely a launching ground for new talent, but a Sunday football headquarters as well. While there is hearty fare like BBQ ribs and burgers, the restaurant also serves healthy, low-fat chicken and salad dishes. But make no mistake, CountryMonkey is all about the music.

Future locations include Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles. The Nashville site opens during Fan Fair on June 7, 2006.
CountryMonkey was founded in 2005 to give unknown artists the opportunity to gain exposure and credibility in the competitive country music scene.
