Sheds and Sanctuary
I remember being the oldest brother of three in a small house, and wishing I had a place I could get away from everyone. My Dad had a shed in the back yard, and I noticed he would spend a lot of time in there working on various projects. As I got older and had my own family, it wasn’t long before I realized why my Dad liked that shed so much. It was a sanctuary, and an important one for his sanity. That’s why I just bought a Woodbridge 10×10 vinyl shed made by Duramax. It has plenty of room for lawn tools, a few household storage crates, and enough elbow room for me
Now I get to hang out in my shed, work on a honey-do project, smoke a cigar, enjoy a beer and catch a game on the radio. Hours can pass by, just me and my quiet thoughts. I come back in to the madness of my own family in a much more centered and relaxed frame of mind, which I think everyone appreciates more than they will say. Sheds are for a man what the nail salon is for women; a place to recharge and do something for yourself.
